I was listening to The Tallest Man on Earth the other day and saw a suggestion to listen to Johnny Flynn, an English folk singer-songwriter. Flynn and his band have been around since 2006 and have released two albums (2008,2010) with their label Transgressive Records. One song I really enjoy was actually the first song recommended on Spotify called “The Wrote & The Writ” so I’ve shared it to kick off this post.

This next song is from Damien Jurado’s upcoming album Maraqopa and is titled “Nothing is the News”. Jurado has released close to twelve or so records throughout his career and as a result has created a wide variety music. That being said, if this track isn’t your favorite – make sure you explore further or check out one of his songs in an older post here.

The official remix release of Death Cab for Cutie’s 2011 release Codes and Keys was released on November 21st, but don’t get overly excited unless you are heavy into dubstep/trance/techno. This happens to be the only track (so far) off this cleverly titled remix album (Keys and Codes) that I have been able to listen to more than once, but I thought I’d throw in a bit of a curve to wrap this post up.
